Les Miserables Performance Huge Success! at the Islington Club Wednesday 20 April 2011
Singing in London took part in the first choir event of Spring Singfest 2011 in aid of the Marie Curie Hospice. Our members met with Choirs who sang different repertoires and style. The event ended in a mass choir all joined together in harmony to sing the First Movement of Vivaldi's Gloria. It was a truly inspiring event and a rewarding one to be involved with a whole community of singers. Singing in London received thanks and praises for their performance at the festival.
Christmas Concert with audience participation in aid of The Whittington Hospital This year Christmas concert included singing Silent Night by our Chinese and Japanese members in their native language who led the audience participation. Our soloists followed with the English version accompanied by the members and the audience humming along in gorgeous harmony. Pure magic!

‘Do you hear the people sing?'
Les Miserables was the first ever performance at the new club in Islington. It was met with a fantastic welcome. Every seat was taken and the audience sang along to "I Dreamed a Dream, Master of the House, and more. Our new found singers rose to the occasion and after receiving a standing ovation they ended the evening singing two encores! A big thanks you to all who came and supported our new club members. Look out for our summer performance of Mamma Mia in August.

A Night of Enchantment
April 2011
On 18th April the members of the Highgate Club presented an evening titled “A night of Enchantment” where they serenaded the audience with a moving performance of songs like Stardust, Moon River, We’ll Gather Lilacs and more. For some of our members it was the first public performance. They sung so beautifully it brought the audience to tears. Other performers were humorous and entertaining and had the audience roaring with laughter.
Members Evening is a marvellous opportunity for the Singing in London members to showcase their talent, which is raised and nurtured at the clubs. The members are given extra rehearsals leading to the event to prepare for their special performance for their friends, family and the public. This was truly an experience to remember.

Broadway & West End Musicals Workshop with Performance
Singing in London in partnership with The Spiro Ark Centre present workshop dedicated to Broadway & West End Musicals. Musical Director Idit Gold
At the workshops participants are learning vocal technique and performing skills to showcase their talent without any boundaries of background or singing experience like they have never experienced before. From the first rehearsal participants are gathered to create a unique show with audience participation. Through sheer hard work, dedication and commitment they are transformed into a group who are ready to deliver a full show on stage. It’s a true bonding and an exciting journey. Everyone can sing and perform providing they are willing to be trained and work hard absolutely. The Workshop demonstrates just that.
Idit Gold the Musical Director
Idit has established a reputation of bringing together people who enjoy singing and performing and transforming them into confident and fully expressive singers as if by magic. Idit is a well-known vocal coach and performer, a B.Mus. Graduate. She has worked with choirs and singing groups for many years and is the founder and MD of Singing in London
